As far as I know, Boulder will be scheduled to be removed because he is over 10. I hope someone keeps track of him so he can be saved. As to Cloud's new foal; I can only pray it can withstand the horribly long and treacherous gallop that the foal's stallion dad and his mare mom will have to travel to keep the helicopter from hitting them. Of course, Echo and any other horses his age will be under extreme duress, stress, and the entire health of any herds of any roundups are put in imminent danger, especially the foals...and counting the foals when they arrive, if they are left in the field for those civilian contractors to go and hog tie to retrieve where the public can't see them; it is more than enough for the entire population of the United States to try to keep up with; and BLM is moving quickly to see if we can all keep up. I hope I have enough people surrounding me to keep up when I slow down. Today, during the warning of the Jackson Mountain herd roundups, we scrambled fast to try to get help. Someone was very blessed and found a wonderful politician to stop the roundup today; but, it will continue even if the heat is 90 degrees. We are quite confused as to the reason why these roundups occur during foaling season if BLM is not actually using these horses to sell to kill buyers. There is no reason to roundup foals at this age, and no reason why the BLM can't water and feed them should they need it. One helicopter roundup costs over 1 million dollars; which is a civilian contract. The BLM however, has employees and can hire employees to go out and water and feed for a lot less than a million dollars which goes to the helicopter pilot alone. And, I don't care what someone else tells you, each horse/foal has a price on it's head of at least $250.00 each...that is the reason why the public is not allowed to see everything; to know everything; and to be informed of all costs incurred and all horse counts, including all foals. The number of deaths for foals are not counted if they are under a certain age. I have received emails from these agencies that are from their PR department and they want me to support their efforts in continuous secrecy to the public...and I can't do that. Yes, I am respectful of their office; but I know that we can demand that the operations of the Secretary of Interior's job description be changed and the BLM's objectives and their job description be changed through the Department of Interior and the Senate. This is going to be a fight to the finish; and I won't ever disrespect someone, but I will not put up with someone placating me or talking down to me, or disrespecting me - insulting my intelligence...even though there are many more intelligent people who know more about these things than I do. BLM is still a service agency that services the American people and the federal policies are governed by the federal law; and no one is above the law when it comes to animal cruelty, abuse, neglect, or killing - especially on federal lands. Thank about it. Who do you call when it has to do with federal lands; who is the only agency that can help or investigate these abuses of office except a federal agency...the FBI. And, the FBI can take it to the U.S. Attorney General's office, and they can take it to the Department of Justice's Department also. Just think...and do what is right, we have to abide by the laws; and we demand that the laws be fair and just and when they aren't we expect changes. Well, we have to do what it takes to prove that these changes have to be made. I hate doing it too. I want to say that BLM is doing a wonderful job - and maybe someday I can say that. But, not today.
THE JACKSON MOUNTAINS THREATENED ROUNDUP BY BLM DURING EXTREME WEATHER CONDITIONS (HEAT) AND QUESTIONS OF WHY THE BLM HASN'T PUT OUT WATER/FOOD TO MIGRATE THESE HERDS OUT OF AREA; OR TO AT LEAST PROVIDE THE HORSES AND BURROS WITH WATER/FEED DURING DROUGHT CONDITIONS BEFORE THEY LOOSE BODY WEIGHT, CAN'T NURSE FOALS, AND BECOME DEHYDRATED

The above link is just one of the many problems that we are facing. Trying to find these horses and make sure their safety and health are taken care of is a priority. Today, we learned that the Jackson Mountain roundups are being pushed forward by BLM; and many experts have requested that the roundups be detained until cooler weather. BLM budget costs for each round up is over 1 million dollars as documented several times, on case in 2010 as documented by Laura Leigh give the following information:
1. Dave Cattoor - helicopter operator earned $13.9 million for "Wild Horse and Burro Scervices (Source: FedSpending.org)
2. 85 other contractors were paid $116.7 million dollars during this period
a. Tadpole Cattle Company - Bartlesville, OK - $16.7 million
b. Fallen Livestock Auction Inc. in Fallon, Nevada - $15.1 million
c. Shadow Ranch - $14.1 million
THESE ARE 2010 FIGURES! 2011 - 2012 MUST BE RESEARCHED FROM THE DOCUMENTS OF Fed.Spending.org

Congressman Grijalva Joins AWHPC in Urging BLM to Postpone AZ Burro Roundup; Agency to Begin Massive Capture Operation Anyway
BLM Now States Helicopter Stampede Will Not Occur in Temperatures 95 Degrees or Hotter, But Humane Concerns Remain
Yuma, AZ (June 5, 2012). . . The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) is proceeding with what will be the largest burro roundup of 2012 targeting 350 historic wild Arizona burros in the southern Sonora Desert amid escalating calls to postpone the capture. The agency announcedyesterday that the helicopter roundup will begin on Wednesday June 6, 2012 in the Cibola-Trigo Herd Management Area (HMA), located 20 miles north of Yuma, Arizona.
Congressman Raul Grijalva, Arizona equine veterinarian Michael Hutchison, the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign, a national coalition, and others have written to the BLM over the past week urging the agency to postpone the helicopter stampede over concerns about the dangers of stampeding burros in high summer desert temperatures and other humane issues.
In response, the BLM has verbally stated that it is reversing a plan to stampede the Cibola-Trigo burros in temperatures as high as 105 degrees F, and will instead halt all roundup operations when temperatures reach 95 degrees F.
Experts, including livestock industry consultant Temple Grandin and the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), have advised the BLM that roundup operations should not occur in temperatures over 90 degrees due to concerns about dehydration and extreme exertion in animals already stressed by heat and low water resources.
“The BLM’s decision to halt the roundup at 95 degrees is, like most BLM policies, arbitrary and not based on science. All the experts agree — roundup activities should cease at 90 degrees — not the temperature that the BLM has basically just pulled out of its hat,” said Suzanne Roy, director for the American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign (AWHPC). “The BLM must either cancel the roundup or immediately implement improved minimum humane conditions — including our call to lower the maximum temperature restriction and to ensure that helicopters do not repeatedly chase burros or pursue single animals and that shade is provided to the animals once captured.”
The BLM has a history of ignoring scientific evidence and expert advice. Just last month, a federal judge warned the BLM that it could not remain “studiously ignorant” of material scientific evidence in expert declarations on the negative impacts of castrating wild stallions on individual animals and herds as a whole.
“We’re disappointed that the BLM will not, at minimum, postpone the burro roundup until fall, when desert temperatures will be lower and conditions will be safer,” said Julianne French, a Tucson-based wild horse and burro advocate. “Better yet, the agency should cancel the roundup altogether and leave these historic burros alone, to survive in the harsh Sonora Desert landscape as their ancestors have done for nearly two centuries.”
French, who was informed by the BLM in Arizona that the agency would change its protocol to stop roundup operations at 95 degrees instead of 105 degrees noted that the agency has yet to put the change in writing. “Conducting a burro roundup in extreme desert temperatures is a health and safety issue for burros, the observing public, BLM staff and contractors. We call on BLM to improve transparency by releasing its revised Standard Operating Procedure to the public before the roundup begins tomorrow,” French concluded.
The million-acre Cibola-Trigo HMA extends from the Imperial Dam, west of the Colorado River, to Walters Camp in California ’s lower Sonora Desert . After the BLM rounds up and removes 350 burros from Cibola Trigo, it will move across the Colorado River into California’s Chocolate-Mule Herd Area (HA). There the agency will target so called “nuisance burros” who reside on private land that was once a part of the HA, for removal.
The American Wild Horse Preservation Campaign (AWHPC) is a coalition of more than 50 horse advocacy, public interest, and conservation organizations dedicated to preserving the American wild horse in viable, free-roaming herds for generations to come, as part of our national heritage.

THE FIGHT FOR CHANGE, SAVING HORSES AND BURROS
This is Tuesday June 5, 2012. I just began this blog, and I could have stayed on my original blog, but some days it is better or re-organize. This is my day for WILD HORSE HUB CENTRAL to begin it's blog.
AT WILD HORSE HUB CENTRAL, we are a data base. We have 4 (four) main objectives:
1. STOP HORSE SLAUGHTER - supporting the bill in the senate for review: S.1176 the "American Horse Slaughter Prevention Act of 2011".
2. STOP THE WILD HORSE ROUNDUPS: It is possible to re-consider the ways that the Department of Interior under the leadership of Ken Salazar who is "over lord" of the Bureau of Land Management.
3. Post any information concerning rescue sites, foundations, sanctuaries, rescue objectives, rescue operations, rescue pertaining to any horse, wild horse or burro.
4. Post any pictures or information from any site concerning horses or any horse subject.
Any blogs posted on this site that are not considered part of the main goals, or do not follow these guidelines should not post on this site. I welcome you, but you must adhere to the objectives as stated above.
I wrote a blog that was concerning the GAO Report dated June 22, 2011 on another blog. I chose to begin again. This information concerting the GAO report is on WILD HORSE HUB CENTRAL on facebook. It is important to begin with 2011 to understand the implications that have happened in 2012. The number of wild horses and burros in holding feed lots and holding farms/ranches such as the one in Kansas called a "wild horse conservatory" found at http://www.ksn.com/news/local/sotry/Wild-Horse-Controversy-In-Kansas/ydsgfXR2kk-XlXoyrjjrpA.cspx#.T8Tt_D-xZI4.facebook and other links such as mesquitecitizen.com/viewnews.php?log=succ&newsid=38
started me thinking...just what is this government doing and what is the motive? Well, actually, I have been thinking about this for some time. My conclusions is that Ken Salazar has been breeding wild horses for slaughter as slaughter houses never really shut down even after the 1971 Free Roaming Wild Horse and Burro Act. The roundups never stopped. So, for 40 years, the Department of Interior has been given free rein to access of millions of horses without restraint, to sell to slaughter houses, aka, kill buyers.
It is not impossible to change things for the better. Sometimes, you just have to show that you have a better idea. This page and WILD HORSE HUB CENTRAL on facebook hopes to find that one person or group, or whomever, has the answers that will work for the public lands and all the wild life therein.
The exact number of wild horses and burros rounded up will never be known. The exact number of injured, neglected, abused, killed, and hidden will never be known; but, today is a new day. Today, there are people who are searching for the answers, and God in Heaven knows that I hope they find it.
Today I found posts for wild horses in kill pens, which included one mare infoal. That just is more than emotions in me, that is desire to force a change in whatever way that I can. I hope you are part of the change that is going to make a difference and set this world aright for the wild horses, burros and horses and feral all around the world.
